101 Van Nostrand Rd

One story Meeting hall/school thought to be constructed around 1849 of wood frame construction with wood clapboard siding on a stone foundation. It has a gable roof with a shed roof entry, 3 bay/center entrance, concrete block patched sidewall, 6-over-6 windows, and a parged and painted stone side wall chimney. Two outbuildings were added to the property: a wood frame shed (denoted by its star cut-out in gable end and white painted clapboard exterior) and a privy thought to be constructed around 1850 and 1900 respectively. Stained wood wavey edge siding is now present on the exterior of the property. The building is known as the “Plutarch School”.
